Some PC gamers — especially those that frequently live stream on twitch or other services — may be enticed to take a look at the new Steam Broadcasting service that has just been introduced today.
The service is still in its beta form, but is mostly functional with a variety of options to stream to who you want.
Once the service is active on a user’s account, they’ll find friends streams in a similar way you’d join games from the friends list. A “Watch Stream” option is available to jump straight to the live video.
Four options are available for the privacy settings ranging from an invite only stream to an entirely public one. Users will also be given the option to allow just friends to watch as well as a selection to accept only requests to watch from friends.
To use Steam Broadcasting users must choose the “Steam beta update” in their account settings.
