The Witcher 3 adds… beard growth?

CD Projekt has incorporated incredible life-like graphics, realistic physics, and now… beard growth into the Witcher 3?

Yes, the main character, Geralt, of the Witcher 3 will now have even more realistic features with a beard that grows over time ranging from a variety of different “states” that determine its length.

CD Projekt is known for its attention to detail within its games, but this news shows just how detailed the developers intend to make their world.

Though the beard growth keeps a dynamic look of your character, CD Projekt Communications chief Michał Platkow-Gilewski explained to Eurogamer those who want a static look can download a free DLC.

“When you download the free Beard and Hairstyle DLC the growth of the beard will stop because we decided that when players want a predefined look, it would be weird to require from them to reapply it time after time.”

The Witcher 3 is due for a May 19th release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Watch_Dogs DLC brings an entire new city for players

Watch_DogsDLC
Watch_Dogs’ official twitter feed gives a not-so-subtle hint regarding the next city for the franchise.

While it hasn’t officially been announced, Watch_Dogs’ official twitter feed heavily hinted that Camden, New Jersey will be the latest playable city in the Watch_Dogs universe. It can be assumed the tweet is referring to an upcoming DLC, though it could even be a hint of a Watch_Dogs 2 (highly unlikely).

The tweeted graphic notes “a 24/7 surveillance program” is in effect for the city with “the highest crime rates in the US in 2012.”

The statistic is certainly fictionalized, but it will be exciting to see how Ubisoft approaches the new setting and if any changes to the gameplay itself will occur as well. Beyond just the gameplay, their scale of the city will be interesting to note as well.

Camden is just 10.34 sq miles and when compared to the massive 234 sq miles of Chicago, it is likely that Ubisoft’s iteration of the city will be much smaller than that of their Chicago.

With that said, no official details have been released, but more information is sure to arise soon.

Titanfall announces “Frontier’s Edge” DLC

Titanfall has announced the second of three DLC. The DLC continues to promote diversity of maps.
Titanfall has announced the second of three DLC. The DLC continues to promote diversity of maps.

Just as Titanfall goes on sale for Xbox Live gold members (33% off normal price), the game’s developer, Respawn, has revealed Frontier’s Edge, an upcoming DLC promising to bring a greater diversity of environments for players to square off in.

The release will be Respawn’s second of three DLC and will include three maps — a mining outpost, beach resort, and mountain side mining hub.

No current release date is set, but the DLC will be immediately included for those who have the game’s “Season Pass”, but will otherwise be available for $9.99 on both Xbox One and Xbox 360.

With Respawn’s last release incorporating a swampy location for players and this upcoming release including a beach and mountainside, the expectations for the third DLC will be for continued diversity.

Some players suggest snow or rainfall could be a desired trait for Titanfall to include in their final downloadable content pack. What do you want to see in Titanfall’s third DLC?
