So many major titles like Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Resident Evil, and others are jumping on the “remastered” or “definitive edition” bandwagon, and you can add another to that list now.

Sleeping Dogs, the 2012 open-world action game from United Front Games, is returning on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.

The game is getting a major face-lift with improved visuals and audio, and though Sleeping Dogs was never quite regarded as having low-quality graphics, United Front Games’ has certainly added enough content to go beyond what just the screenshots can show.

An additional 24 downloadable content add-ons (Including major DLC additions like Year of the Snake and Nightmare In North Point.), tuned gameplay, and a greater ambience to the city of Hong Kong will make your time committed to experiencing Wei Shen’s dynamic undercover cop story well worth it.

All of it will be brought to gamers at a crisp 1080p resolution and a smooth 60 FPS.

United Front Games’ senior producer, Dan Sochan, believes the additions will give both newcomers and returning fans alike an exciting experience.

“We’re giving old and new fans a lot reasons to pick up the game, as we’ve gone beyond just increasing resolution and running at 1080p.  We listened to the fans: we tuned gameplay, we added to the ambience of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and pushed the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.”

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will be releasing October 10th, later this year.
