Awesome Games Done Quick raises $1.5 million for charity

The Awesome Games Done Quick annual speed-run event has concluded and all the glitch-filled and shortcut riddled gameplay recordings have been archived on their official website.

With 160 playthroughs of a vast variety of games both classic and new, the event was able to raise over $1.5 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation — over 50% higher than the original target.

Including an average donation of just about $40 ($39.66), the largest single contribution came from Humble Bundle who pitched in an astounding $191,547.21.
