Star Wars Battlefront will be playable first on Xbox One despite marketing deal with Sony

Star Wars Battlefront’s upcoming release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC is coming with extraodinarily high expectations and will be capturing universal attention as it comes out within the same time frame as the movie.

For fans that want to get in on the action first EA Access, the Xbox One exclusive subscription program will be offering the standard week-early availability just the same as the other games.

While some were uncertain of whether or not Star Wars Battlefront would be subject to the EA Access privileges due to Sony’s recent marketing deal with the game the head man at Xbox, Phil Spencer has confirmed that, yes, it will be getting the week early availability through EA’s gaming service.

EA Access launched on Xbox One in August 2014 and is currently available for $5/month exclusively on the Microsoft system. It offers early access to games, exclusive discounts, and the “EA Vault” — a selection of full games like FIFA 15, Battlefield 4, and other games.
