After an incredible amount of hype to build up the next game in the Silent Hills series, Guillermo del Toro who was likely acting as the assistant director of horror game has confirmed at the San Francisco Film Festival that Silent Hills is “not gonna happen.”
The project was being led by both Toro and the classic creator of the series, Hideo Kojima. Kojima had spoke about the project extensively during Sony’s Gamescom conference. The Japanese developer wanted to hold nothing back ignoring how scary a horror game normally is permitted to be by publishers or other content regulators.
The excitement was as high as it could be for a returning IP, but multiple reports have confirmed the game is “not gonna happen.”
