Resident Evil Revelations 2 is releasing along with a remake of the original Resident Evil in 2015, and Capcom’s original inspiration of dark, twisted, and gory worlds looks to get rejuvenated with the release of both games.
Revelations 2’s new screenshots show a visually great game for the $25 digital price tag ($40 physical), but after playing some of the gameplay at New York Comic Con, some differences are evident.
It seems some of the screenshots have been edited in post-processing, but with the recent trend of “photo-modes” in games (The Last of Us, Shadow of Mordor, Forza Horizon 2 and more), it could be hints of a similar mode coming to Revelations.
Nothing is for certain as of yet, but even without the edits made to this gallery the game looks fantastic and plays just how most people would want a Resident Evil game to play. The movement is slower, the ammo is scarcer, the zombies are dangerous, and your two-person party is presented as tough, but vulnerable in the zombie-ridden apocalpyse.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be releasing in early 2015 on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Playstation 3.
